One of my favorite parts of Downtown Greenville, SC is the Falls Park area. But most visitors stop there. Many don’t realize that Greenville’s downtown is filled with hidden gems perfect for engagement photos.
I love taking my clients beyond the usual spots for a unique and unforgettable photo experience. Downtown Greenville has so much character, and exploring it through an engagement session is always an adventure. Let’s talk more about why this city is the perfect setting for your engagement portraits!
Downtown Greenville’s bustling streets, historic charm, and scenic views create an incredible backdrop for engagement photos. The architectural diversity isn’t overwhelming, yet it offers endless creative possibilities.
Intimate alleyways, tree-lined streets, and vibrant murals add a touch of personality to every session. Whether you’re sharing a romantic kiss on Main Street or walking hand in hand along the Reedy River, every location tells a different story.
One of my favorite spots? The rooftop parking garage near Main Street. I know—a parking garage might not seem romantic at first! But trust me, when that golden hour glow hits just right, the results are pure magic.
And the best part? The unmatched view of Greenville’s city skyline! It adds a touch of urban elegance to your engagement portraits. Just keep scrolling to see what I mean!
Want to make the most of your Downtown Greenville engagement session? Here are some tips for an unforgettable experience:
Greenville offers countless photo spots, from lush parks to historic streets. Whether you love nature, cityscapes, or modern backdrops, discuss options with your photographer. Finding locations that match your vision is key!
Your outfits should complement Greenville’s cityscape. Soft neutrals work well with brick walls and greenery, while bold colors pop against urban backdrops. Choose timeless styles that make you feel confident!
The best time for photos? Golden hour! This is the hour after sunrise or just before sunset, when the light is soft and dreamy. Golden hour creates flattering, romantic, and cinematic photos.
Authenticity is everything! Don’t be afraid to laugh, dance, or share quiet moments. The best photos capture your genuine connection and tell your love story in a way that feels natural.
Downtown Greenville engagement sessions are always so much fun! There’s something special about exploring the city with your person while capturing memories. Whether you’re posing by the Reedy River or dancing on a rooftop, your photos will be one-of-a-kind.

A proposal is one of life’s most significant and romantic milestones. It’s a moment you’ll always remember. To make it unforgettable, a picturesque setting is a must. And Pietro truly understood the assignment! The serene waters and gentle breeze of Lake Hartwell created the perfect atmosphere for such a special moment.
In this post, I’ll share the magic of a lake proposal, with a special focus on the beauty of Lake Hartwell. Trust me, I’m begging you to consider a lakeside proposal! And if you do, I’d love to capture the magic. I’m absolutely obsessed with lake proposals!
Pietro planned a surprise party at his parents’ lake house for a weekend getaway. He then suggested a romantic boat ride with Abby. But Abby, being the outdoorsy type, insisted they bring fishing poles along.
Quick-thinking Pietro redirected the plan. Instead of a fishing adventure, he suggested a relaxing evening boat ride. Abby was completely in the dark! Little did she know, she was about to be blown away by an unforgettable proposal!
I’m so glad I was there to capture the excitement and thrill of this sweet proposal. The look on Abby’s face when Pietro dropped to one knee was absolutely priceless. What a moment!
Alright, I’m here to convince you that lake proposals are superior to any other. If you’re still undecided about a lakeside proposal, let me share why Lake Hartwell is an ideal spot. I’d be honored to capture your special moment if you choose this serene location!
Lake Hartwell offers the peace and serenity that makes it perfect for intimate moments. The calm, peaceful waters create a relaxed and romantic atmosphere. Your proposal will feel more personal, surrounded by nature’s quiet beauty.
At Lake Hartwell, you’re surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. The lake’s clear waters, lush greenery, and stunning views create a perfect backdrop for a proposal. Whether it’s sunrise or sunset, the scenery is always awe-inspiring.
If you’re looking for a private, romantic proposal away from crowds, Lake Hartwell is the spot. It’s far removed from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The secluded spots by the water offer peaceful moments to make your proposal intimate.
A lake proposal offers endless possibilities. Is it a casual lake day? A fishing excursion? Or perhaps an unexpected party? The element of surprise is amplified when you plan a proposal at the lake. Trust me, your partner will have no idea what’s coming! You’ll love the element of mystery and the surprise factor.
The most important part of your proposal is capturing it in photos! After all, this is a moment you’ll want to cherish forever. Hiring a professional photographer ensures that these memories are preserved for years to come. Trust me, you won’t regret it!
If you’re thinking about proposing soon, I’d be honored to capture the moment. I love documenting these life-changing milestones, and I’m here to help make your proposal unforgettable!
Let’s chat about all the details and create a plan for your dream proposal at Lake Hartwell. I can’t wait to hear from you!

Hotel Domestique looks like it was plucked straight from the French countryside. When I talked with Hannah Grace and Hunter about the vision for their Biltmore Estate engagement session, they shared their desire for candid moments. “We want to see the real us in the photos, not just us posing for photos. We love candid photos. We both have great senses of humor and enjoy having fun together. We would really like the fun sides of our personalities to show through these photos.”
I’m so glad they chose the Biltmore House as the location for these portraits. Both Hannah Grace and Hunter enjoy hiking and goings on walks together as a couple. They describe it as their way of bonding. Being able to relax together doing activities like these gives them time to reflect and talk together. They also try to visit the Biltmore House every so often because of its sentimental value. This estate is where they spent their first New Years together as a couple, and it is also where Hunter proposed.
One of my favorite part about this beautiful estate is its unique charms as its beauty changes with each season. Whether your engagement session is set against the vibrant colors of spring, the warmth of summer, the rich hues of autumn, or the enchantment of winter, each season brings its own magic to your photos here.
Thinking about taking your own Biltmore Estate engagement photos? I’d love to chat with you and help your vision come to life. Your engagement photos at the Biltmore Estate will serve as a stunning testament to your unique love story and the natural beauty of your relationship. Contact me today!

Emily and Scott’s Westin Poinsett wedding day was a disco-infused celebration of love. From start to finish, it was an unforgettable day. The historic charm of the venue set the perfect stage for this special occasion. I am beyond excited to share more with you about this incredible wedding!
As I’ve mentioned before, wedding photos are so much more than just posed pictures. Of course, the detailed timelines and posed photos are important, but it’s really about those in-between moments. After all, those candid, unexpected shots are often the ones that speak the loudest. This wedding day had so many of those moments that made my photographer heart so happy! Here are some of my favorite memories from Emily and Scott’s day:
WEDDING DAY HIGHLIGHTS
Hair & Makeup. First, Emily looked absolutely stunning and showed off her talents by doing her own hair and makeup. I absolutely love when my brides choose to go a little outside the box to make the day truly their own. It was such a special, personal touch that made her stand out even more.
The Flower Girl. But that wasn’t all. Emily also did the flower girl’s hair and makeup, and it was precious! The flower girl, who was the cutest mini-me of the bride, was a sight to behold. It was such a sweet and heartfelt moment that made the day even more memorable.
Outfit Change. Next, Emily’s surprise outfit change was nothing short of jaw-dropping. She completely stole the show, and the guests were in awe. Moreover, the reception vibe changed completely with her new look, adding to the energy of the night. If you’re thinking about switching up your look for the reception, keep scrolling for some major outfit inspiration. Emily truly rocked it!
Disco, Elton John. As the night went on, the dance floor came alive with energy. Suddenly, guests were transported to a boogie wonderland, filled with upbeat music and disco fever. The addition of Elton John hits and funky sunglasses set the tone for a night full of fun. Everyone channeled their inner rockstars, and it was a blast to watch!
Emily and Scott’s wedding day wasn’t just a wedding—it was a love story set to music. The disco-infused reception was such a fun reflection of their playful and adventurous spirits. Their joy and love for each other was evident in every moment of the day. Furthermore, the Westin Poinsett truly provided the best vibes, and everything came together perfectly. Without a doubt, Emily and Scott’s wedding will go down as one of the most magical celebrations filled with love, laughter, and lots of disco delight.
Cheers to the newlyweds! May your journey together be as groovy as your wedding day!
