Love stories are written in the details. And Amaris and Clay’s wedding at Viewpoint at Buckhorn Creek was nothing short of a fairytale. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Viewpoint, their ceremony was a mix of natural beauty and sentimental moments. This is a one-of-a-kind wedding venue here in the upstate with lush, green landscapes and panoramic views.
One of my favorite parts of the day was getting to sneak away with the newlyweds for some romantic portraits. Amaris was a vision in her gorgeous low backed gown. And Clay couldn’t stop staring at her! Neither could our new friend– a horse in the nearby field who joined us for some portraits. Keep scrolling to see!
As the evening unfolded, the joy and celebration continued. Beloved friends and family shared stories, laughter, and, of course, a few happy tears. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and genuine love. It was such an honor to witness and capture it all! It really is these unplanned, authentic moments that make each wedding so incredible to be a part of. And Amaris and Clay’s day was full of those beautiful in-between moments.
Amaris and Clay infused their personalities into every aspect of this incredible day. Their wedding was a true reflection of their unique love story. And everything down to the adorable bubble exit was the cutest thing ever! And I’m so excited to share this day with you on the blog! P.S. make sure to give these amazing vendors some extra love. One of my favorite parts of Downtown Greenville, SC is the Falls Park area. But most visitors stop there. So what I love to do is take my clients to some lesser known spots for a truly unique photo experience. Whether you’re sharing a kiss on Main Street, walking hand in hand along the Reedy River, or posing by a mural, no two shoots here are ever alike! On of my favorite locations to take couples is the parking garage rooftop near Main Street. I know what you may be thinking, but hear me out!! A proposal is one of life’s most significant and romantic milestones. There’s no better way to make it unforgettable than with a picturesque setting. And Pietro understood the assignment! The serene waters and gentle breeze of Lake Hartwell was the perfect atmosphere for this moment! In this blog post, we explore the magic of a lake proposal and the beauty Lake Hartwell, specifically. Basically, I’m begging you to also plan your proposal at the lake and let me take your photos. Because I’m absolutely obsessed!
Pietro carefully planned a party at his parent’s lake house one weekend. He then suggested to Abby that they go for a romantic boat ride. Instead, Abby insisted on bringing the fishing poles. With some quick thinking, Pietro redirected the theme of the ride and suggested they just go for a relaxing evening. Abby had no clue whatsoever! So what happened next was a big shock. I’m so glad I was there to capture the excitement and thrill of their sweet proposal
Like I said, I’m here to convince you that lake proposals are simply superior. And I will happily tag along to capture yours when it happens. Still need some convincing on having a lakeside proposal? Hear me out! Here’s why I think having a proposal at the lake (and specifically Lake Hartwell) is ideal!
Don’t forget the most important part of your proposal– capturing the moment in photos! Hiring a professional photographer is an essential part of preserving this moment for years to come.
Thinking about popping the big question soon? I’d be honored to capture this special moment for you. Contact me, and let’s discuss all the details!
Did you enjoy Pietro and Abby’s proposal at the lake? You definitely have to check out Lauren and Michael’s downtown engagement next.

When I talked with Hannah Grace and Hunter about the vision for their Biltmore Estate engagement session, they shared their desire for candid moments. “We want to see the real us in the photos, not just us posing for photos. We love candid photos. We both have great senses of humor and enjoy having fun together. We would really like the fun sides of our personalities to show through these photos.”
I’m so glad they chose the Biltmore House as the location for these portraits. Both Hannah Grace and Hunter enjoy hiking and goings on walks together as a couple. They describe it as their way of bonding. Being able to relax together doing activities like these gives them time to reflect and talk together. They also try to visit the Biltmore House every so often because of its sentimental value. This estate is where they spent their first New Years together as a couple, and it is also where Hunter proposed.
One of my favorite part about this beautiful estate is its unique charms as its beauty changes with each season. Whether your engagement session is set against the vibrant colors of spring, the warmth of summer, the rich hues of autumn, or the enchantment of winter, each season brings its own magic to your photos here.
Thinking about taking your own Biltmore Estate engagement photos? I’d love to chat with you and help your vision come to life. Your engagement photos at the Biltmore Estate will serve as a stunning testament to your unique love story and the natural beauty of your relationship. Contact me today!
