Some engagement sessions feel extra special, and Kayla and Zach’s session was one of them.
As a Greenville, SC, wedding photographer, I photograph couples at beautiful locations throughout the Upstate. However, Rock Quarry Garden holds a special place in my heart. After all, it’s where I got married. Because of that, photographing couples there always feels a little like coming home.
On the evening of their session, Kayla and Zach arrived ready to enjoy the experience together. Meanwhile, the garden offered the perfect setting. Blooming flowers, winding paths, and beautiful natural light surrounded us. As we explored the grounds, their excitement for this season was impossible to miss.
Throughout the session, these two constantly made each other laugh. As a result, their photos feel joyful, genuine, and full of personality. Rather than focusing on stiff poses, we spent the evening exploring the garden. We also talked about their wedding plans and captured moments that felt natural.
One of my favorite parts of being a Greenville, SC, wedding photographer is getting to know my couples. Not only do engagement sessions help couples feel comfortable in front of the camera, but they also build connection. Consequently, wedding day portraits feel more relaxed and authentic.
By the end of the evening, I was even more excited for their wedding day. Their love is evident in every interaction. Furthermore, it was a joy to document this chapter of their story.
